THE ROLE
We are looking for an insurance supervisor/estimator to come on board as the Central Queensland Area Manager. As the Area Manager/Supervisor on our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of residential building repair projects across Central Queensland. You will be required to work unsupervised and undertake all tasks relating to estimating insurance and private jobs, supervising of jobs, organising and running the office space and eventually growing the business with regards to staff and work opportunities.
DUTIES
- Onsite meetings with clients, assessing, reporting and quoting for repairs and establishing scope of works
- Liaising with our extensive trade base, allocating and scheduling works throughout your repair portfolio
- Managing budgets and timeframes to ensure adherence to insurance KPI’s
- Organisation and running of the office
- Providing regular updates to insurance companies, homeowners and internal stakeholders
- Overseeing trade activities insurance work is being completed to the highest possible quality and safety standards
- Have the leadership skillset to manage and mentor future staff as the team grows
- Current QBCC Builders/Supervisors Licence – essential
- Previous insurance building experience
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- General computer savviness and the desire to expand skillset
- Proven experience in managing building projects on time, to budget with a high-quality finish.
- Strong understanding of Building Codes, Repair Process, Finishing Standards, Products, Suppliers, Contracts, Scope of Works and the Variation process.
- Experience and understanding of Occupational Health & Safety.
