The Centre:
We are a brand-new centre set in the heart of Kangaroo Point Brisbane which caters for 81 children per day. Privately owned and operated.
Your new role:
You will plan, create and provide nutritious meals for children in a Long Day Care setting. You will ensure that these meals meet food safety requirements, and the needs of the children including allergy and food intolerance meals.
You will review and modify processes and systems relating to food safety to minimise risk to children. In consultation with management, you will also coordinate food-based activities and events for children.
You will be responsible for the ordering and kitchen budget. You will be responsible to ensuring the kitchen environment and equipment is maintained to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for the food safety program.

What you need to succeed?
You will have:
- A Food Safety Certificate with new requirements which came into effect in December 2023 or willing to obtain
- Working with Children check
- A good understanding of Food Safety practices
- A passion for food and customer service
- Excellent time management and organizing skills to balance competing demands.
