We are excited to open doors to our newest addition to the I9Education Family – The Fern ELC Cheltenham. It is a beautiful childcare centre easily accessible to a range of amenities in the area. In preparation to the opening of our brand-new facility, an exciting opportunity has come up for an empowering People Leader with a high-performing mindset to guide and support our educators and families within the centre.
The team is on the hunt for well-motivated and passionate Director with the knowledge and experience in opening and growing a New Centre, whilst being committed and dedicated to providing high quality childcare in the community.
Key requirements of the role:
· Manage & lead a team to meet day-to-day operations needs in line with company policies and procedures, while adhering to compliance and financial targets.
· Create long-lasting connections within the local community including partnerships with families.
· Maximise i9Education marketing aptitudes to strategically increase occupancy of the service.
· Guide, support, and mentor the team to meet and exceed operating as well as our people success.
· Proficient with written and verbal communication skills
Successful shortlisting criteria:
· Proven ability to seamlessly combine inspirational and servant leadership qualities, demonstrating care and passion for people with clear communication and direction.
· Proven experience in setting goals and operative metrics to measure effective performance.
· Experienced in achieving and/or exceeding targets whilst adhering to regulatory safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications & experience:
· Minimum of Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an approved equivalent qualification
· Valid First Aid qualification including Anaphylaxis and Asthma
· Thorough knowledge and understanding of the National Regulations and Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework (standard and Victorian), Being belonging & becoming framework and My Time Our Place (if school aged child attend service)
· Current valid driver’s Licence
· Current Police Check less than 6 months old.
· Current Working with Children Check (employee)
· Completed Child Safe Accredited Training.
· Food Safety Supervisor qualification
Tasks & responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day operational needs of the centre in line with legislative requirements, company guidelines.
· Ensure high quality Early Education learning programs are delivered in accordance with Company objectives and centre philosophies.
· Drive and support educators with the provision and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.
· Effectively implement and manage rosters in timely fashion to meet staffing ratios.
· Effectively manage centre financial requirements
· Consistently demonstrate high organisational skills
· Deliver consistent high-quality standards for centre presentation and work practices.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with educators, families, children, and the local business community.
