Why this role matters

The Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services).

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven Centre Manager who will strategically develop and manage client-centred service delivery, operations and people of Brisbane AOD Service to ensure an inclusive is provided in an efficient, effective, and safe manner. Oversee service delivery ensuring quality service delivery and that participants receive services in a timely manner, appropriate case management, assessment and referral, education and support within a client focused recovery framework, in line with The Salvation Army's (TSA) AOD model of care.

You will successfully
  • Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and responsive for our diverse participants.
  • Delivery of state agendas and operational/local plans aligned to national agendas.
  • Oversight of practice and service delivery.
  • Establish program specific systems and processes for service delivery and review regularly.
  • Manage services in accordance with funding body or contractual requirements and guidelines and service standards.
You will have
  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and extensive management experience.
  • Degree qualification in business or equivalent business management experience.
  • Project development and implementation experience in social and community services programs including AOD.
  • Ability to lead and support staff and services undergoing change.
  • Experience in active membership in community or sector bodies within the AOD sector.
  • A current QLD Drivers Licence

This is a full-time, permanent position, located in Brisbane, Queensland.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, level 7.
