Centre Manager For Child Care Service

We are seeking a Centre Manager / Director for our Long Day Care service.

As the Centre Manager, you'll have the opportunity to create fun, engaging, and safe learning experiences for Children while forming strong relationships with them and their families.

Position Requirements:

With a significant background in administration, you will be confident in your people skills and ability to work under pressure.

As part of our Employment screening process, you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check (issued within the last 6 months)

In addition, there is a requirement to possess a current Working with Children check or apply if you do not already hold one. It is unlawful for prohibited persons to apply for work with children, and, as such, prohibited persons cannot apply for this role.

Diploma or above in any of the Children's Services qualifications (ACECQA approved) or equivalent (Teaching degree etc)  

Previous experience in a childCare Service management role, or related experience

Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Assessment and Rating process

Strong leadership skills, including staff management and team building

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with families, staff and other stakeholders

Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage budgets and maintain accurate records

Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.

Your Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the daily operations of the childcare centre, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children
• Manage staff, including rostering and ensuring that all team members are trained and supported in their roles.
• Demonstrate the ability to work within a team and embrace collaborative learning practices
• Build positive relationships with families, including conducting tours of the centre and providing ongoing communication and support
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the National Quality Framework and Assessment and Rating process, and ensure that the centre is consistently meeting or exceeding standards
• Manage the centre's budget, including financial planning, forecasting and reporting
• Maintain accurate records and ensure that the centre is meeting required ratios
• Implement and maintain a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to drive ongoing improvements in the centre's operations and outcomes as well as 
• Handle general office duties, including responding to emails and phone calls, managing the centre's calendar and maintaining documentation
• Utilise knowledge of XPLOR to manage and maintain Child Care management software.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Have an ability to work with diverse children
• Ensure Holistic Learning is taking place with providing engaging environments conducive to play based learning.
• Assess the children's learning and implement programs
• Ensure Ongoing Learning and Self-Development for yourself and your team
