Patricia Giles Centre for Non Violence (PGCNV) is one of the primary providers of family and domestic violence services in the Northern Corridor, which includes Three Safe Accommodation sites.
Our reputation is driven by our commitment to providing a high-quality client focused sustainable service to clients accessing our suite of programs and services.
In addition to the provision of accommodation services, PGCNV ensures timely and effective provision of advocacy, referral information and support to women and their children seeking relief from the impact of domestic violence.
Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager Counselling to join the leadership team at PGCNV based at Wandjoo Place in Merriwa.
Purpose of Role
The Service Manager Counselling is responsible for leading a team of women and children counsellors providing specialised services to women and dependent children affected by family and domestic violence, ensuring excellence in clinical leadership throughout the organisation.
As a senior leader in the organisation you will work closely with the General Manager Programs and Clinical Services, playing a pivotal role in the overall leadership, management, service delivery and integration of the service with the wider organisation.
About You:
You will have the ability to lead the development of specialist counselling and therapeutic services for women and children’s services across the organisation. You have a commitment to using a rights-based approach in your work, and your knowledge and experience gives you confidence in advocating for others.
You possess strong interpersonal skills coupled with a proven ability to operate professionally, delivering high quality clinical services. This will be demonstrated through your extensive experience both as a practitioner and manager in this area.
Success in this role will be found in both your clinical and leadership abilities, and your high levels of integrity, transparency, and capacity to align with the values and ethos of the organisation.
You will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Other Requirements:
- AHPRA or AASW registered with a minimum of 5 years senior clinical lead experience.
- Previous experience in the FDV industry is desirable.
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of Trauma informed clinical services.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to empower and develop a team.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain operational budgets and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
- Ability to view issues and problems from the perspectives of the business and the customer.
- Proven experience working with data to provide intel and recommendations, as well as manage internal productivity and performance.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills e.g. reports, presentations, proposals
- Demonstrated work style that displays agility, maturity, flexibility, and strong resilience.
- Exceptional planning and organisational ability combined with the capability for self-management and autonomous work.
- Maintain a valid WWC Card and current driver’s licence.
- Valid Police Clearance no older than 3 months prior to employment.
- Senior First Aid Certificate
