Your Role in the Hive

  • Take a holistic approach to the education, development, and care of children in our care with a focus on the physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing of the child to inspire children’s curiosity to create and explore their environment. 

  • Work as a key team member to implement and exceed the NQS quality areas.

  • Observe children in our care guiding, encouraging, and inspiring learning and self-awareness, documenting their experiences, and evaluating their daily care routines.

  • Maintaining routines and structures that respond to the children’s needs in your care always via caring and respectful relationships.

  • Prioritise an environment that is; safety first for children in our care and fellow team members, aesthetically uplifting and culturally welcoming, and positive.

  • Regularly communicate with Lead Educators, Educational Leaders, and other Educational specialists about your learning experiences and developing skill sets.

  • Be Wise - Respecting diversity and being inclusive while considering a team member child or family’s cultural and community needs.

Your skills and personal attributes for the Hive

  • Your commitment and passion for early learning, underpins your enthusiasm for all young Australians to become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens who are prepared for the lifelong learning journey.

  • You hold a completed Certificate III Early Childhood that is NQF approved, check here: Qualifications Checker

  • You hold a current working with children check (or can get one).

  • You work harmoniously with Teams of people, have a flexible approach, and prioritise the health, wellbeing, and experience of Children and your Team.

  • Above all, you work well with and enjoy being around children.
