The Chief Information Officer Division (CIO Division) is an exciting, diverse and dynamic division that drives the digital agenda for the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. Leading the delivery of the department’s digital offerings, the CIO Division partners with business areas and stakeholders to:
- Realise the digital policy objectives of the Department
- Define the Departments digital landscape
- Co-design digital experiences making it simpler to innovate, collaborate and communicate
- Drive the innovation and transformation of its IT services
The Digital Delivery and Governance Section is responsible for the delivery of the Digital Modernisation Program (DMP) - a CIO Division led initiative that aims to modernise and elevate legacy capabilities to provide a holistic and adaptable infrastructure backbone to achieve the department's core outcomes.
The Program is focused on the strategic transformation of departmental platform to provide access to staff for new technology and to ensure financial sustainability of the digital operating environment.
The opportunity

As the Change Management Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with organisational Change Management and communication activities for the Program and broader branch (as required) through:
- Working cooperatively with project members, business clients, branch and division staff to provide support, ensuring the success of all the Change Management levers for the projects.
- Drafting clear, concise, and consistent communication products for multiple audiences, using appropriate communication channels.
- Assisting with change impact assessments, identifying end user impact and aligning project milestones, to develop evidence-based communications and Change Management and communications plans.
- Providing advice and support to Program stakeholders regarding Change Management and communication artefacts necessary to achieving the successful delivery of the solution.
- Contributing to ensuring communication and change approach is managed holistically across the Program and aligning with the broader communication and change activities that are underway across the CIO Division.
- Participating in Program and divisional planning activities, including engaging collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Developing and maintain internal and external relationships.
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
