Job description

Eden Ritchie is seeking a Change Manager to oversee and implement change management processes and actions for the Portable Data Entry Unit (PDEU) Renewal project within the Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation Portfolio.

  • 7 month contract with possible extension
  • Based in Bowen Hills

As the Change Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work with Department employees to transfer knowledge and capability uplift of change processes, skills and strategies to the P&SCO Portfolio and PDEU Renewal project teams to ensure capability is retained within the organisation.
  • Develop the change management plan and lead the implementation of change activities for the PDEU Renewal project in collaboration with the project team.
  • Provide expert advice and knowledge working with the Portfolio Executive Director, Supply Chain Optimisation Workstream Director and PDEU Renewal project team, Portfolio Change Lead and Department Communications team to deliver consistent, effective change processes and documentation, in a manner consistent with relevant legislative and industrial requirements.
  • Support the development of concept briefs, business cases, impact assessments and change project plans incorporating communications plans, coaching plans, training plans, resistance management plans and sponsor roadmaps.
  • Define success metrics and indicators to measure, monitor and report on change projects, including the identification of trends, future demands and broader influences that may impact on achieving portfolio and/or program objectives.
  • Work in consultation with stakeholders to support the development, implementation and education of organisation-wide change frameworks, structures and processes, inclusive of technical and behavioural standards for a range of workforce development processes.
  • Identify and analyse risks that may impact the portfolio, workstream and/or project, including the development of risk mitigation strategies and tactics to ensure the effective delivery of change requirements within agreed timeframes.
  • Consult and coach teams, managers and leaders to support change management at the organisational level.
  • In collaboration with internal partners, work across the P&SCO Portfolio to identify capability gaps and education pathways as part of the change programs to ensure required capabilities are established.
  • Build and maintain influential relationships and networks with executive and senior management throughout Department and significant stakeholder groups to encourage collaboration to support the change process.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in designing and implementing organisational change frameworks, processes, systems, resources and capability in large, diverse organisations.
  • Demonstrated high-level communication skills with proven experience communicating, facilitating and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders, including unions, in a confident and professional manner and influencing outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in proactively leading and engaging stakeholders in organisational and cultural change processes, being responsive, and delivering on strategic intent.
  • Proven experience in change management and implementing initiatives in large organisations, delivering clear innovation and improvement outcomes within strict timeframes and budgets.
  • Proven ability to guide, educate and support senior leadership and line managers to lead change programs, engage employees and achieve key objectives.
