Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Global Mining Company to engage a Change Manager. This position is located in their busy Brisbane City office commencing 08/07/2024 until the 06/04/2025 with possible extensions available.
About the Position
Our global procurement systems are undergoing a number of changes to remove friction from our people and processes. We are seeking a Change Specialist with a strong track record in supporting technical changes, who thrives in a fast changing, multi release program environment.
Reporting to the Manager - Change, Procurement Strategy, Risk & Governance and working on the ground with the Brisbane-based team of Procurement Systems and Enablement leaders, you will leverage your digital change management expertise to drive the change activities needed to support the delivery of enhancements to global procurement systems. These include systems such as SAP and Ariba, as well as new AI/Bot technology.
Duties
- Assessing Technology-Driven Changes: Understand and evaluate various technology-driven changes.
- Early Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership to the project team by analysing design and delivery impacts on system/application users. Plan releases strategically to minimize disruptions.
- Change Management Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive change management plan. Capture engagement, learning, and communication activities to address impacts and risks.
- Effective Communication: Write impactful communications that simplify complex information. Create a compelling case for change, emphasizing the benefits for stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across teams.
- Risk Identification and Advocacy: Identify and champion risks that could hinder change delivery or long-term sustainability.
- Project Support: Support project delivery to ensure successful impact, adoption, and sustainability.
- Demonstrating Change Adoption: Show progress and adoption of changes within the organisation.
- Organized Project Management: Demonstrate strong project management skills, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Collaboration and Prioritization: Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, understanding complex priorities and adapt accordingly.

- A drive for results and a "can do" attitude.
- Change management experience within a technology delivery and/or global procurement systems environment.
- Hands-on experience of defining and executing change management and communications artefacts (i.e., change impact assessments, change strategies, communications plans, etc.
- A laser-like focus on the user experience – leveraging experience in co-design/human centered design to advocate for users.
- Presence and influence across various levels of leadership, leveraging robust negotiation skills.
- Applied knowledge of Scrum or SAFe Agile and Kanban tools such as Azure, DevOps/Jira/Monday.com.
- Microsoft suite, incl SharePoint.
- The ability to speak business French will be viewed favourably.
