The position
In this role, you will lead and implement an overall strategy for an optimal and innovative distribution set-up across different channels and will strengthen the relationships with key distribution partners such as wholesalers, pharmacies, and other buying groups to deliver the best products through the best channels towards our patients.
The key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Cross-functional development of innovative distribution channel management strategies for Oceania and execution of these strategies across the Novo Nordisk portfolio for wholesalers, key buying groups and pharmacies.
  • Implementation, adaptation, and follow-up of innovative cooperation agreements and contracts with wholesalers, buying groups, and pharmacies. This requires F2F meetings, analysis of contracts in place, future contract negotiations and creation of account plans.
  • Mapping & analysis of networks, trends, data & ecosystems to derive commercial intervention points (for example based on pilot projects) and securing our in-market supply towards our patients in Oceania while following all internal and external principles.
  • Contribute substantially to product launch projects and secure the right channel and partners are selected for the new product introduction and involvement with distribution partners supply chain related initiatives and projects around sustainability (Novo Nordisk’s “Circular4Zero” strategy).
  • Drive deeper integration with our customers, both technical as well as on the business side to increase operational efficiency and reduce cost. Also, collaborate internally with the commercial, legal, regulatory, supply chain teams to align sales and channel efforts.
Qualifications
  • A university degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience at a pharmaceutical wholesaler, alternatively 3+ years of experience as wholesale Key Account Manager at a pharmaceutical company, working experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Has strong analytical, problem-solving and ideation skills. Able to turn complex problems into impactful solutions and convey these in simple and easy to understand messages.
  • Has an excellent stakeholder management experience. Ability to drive progress based on in-depth experience in engaging with and managing stakeholder groups, internal and external audiences, and varying levels of seniority.
  • Must either be an Australian Citizen or have a current residency Visa to live and work in Australia.
