Are passionate about Quality Engineering within the context of modern app development. You may have previously worked in the capacity of a staff quality engineer and are looking towards taking on direct people management opportunities. You will have owned wide-reaching initiatives that improve the quality processes within a large engineering function.
The Chapter Lead will lead the Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering function in Business Lending crew within BB Tech in Technology, having QA team as direct/indirect reports (mixture of permanent, CBA India and contract resources). You will be reporting to the Crew Tech Lead –Business Lending Chief Operating Officer Crew.
Overall, in this role, you will be required to perform the following:

• Lead QA Engineering practice providing guidance and leadership in the crew
• Works with leadership teams and practice to define and uplift QA capability
• Collaborates with leadership teams to set performance metrics for the practice. (Metrics may include KPIs/KRAs/OKRs)
• Expected to perform hands on QA duties with a squad
• Provides Test strategies and test estimates; create test plans and schedule test phases
• Lead the Implementation and utilise standard metrics and reporting to provide testing and quality insights
• Collaborate/Influence product design, implementation and enhancement to support testability and quality outcome
• Design, develop and roll-out test harness, frameworks, tools and infrastructure to enable test automation, CI/CD and code quality
• Build sophisticated test doubles to minimise dependencies
• Maintain, curate and monitor non-production environments
• Build and integrate and maintain solutions to provide test data
• Create a well-engineered, scalable and reliable test, setting a solid example for other engineers
• Drives the implementation, embedding and continual improvement of methodologies, frameworks, tools and processes
• Identifies and actions opportunities to increase the effectiveness of teams or practice to improving business and customer value

We’re interested in hearing from people who possess:

• A passion for Quality and Testing through a pragmatic application of automation using .NET technologies
• Strong leadership background ideally as a Chapter Lead, leading a group of QA/test Engineers
• Hands-on experience with Functional, Performance and Security Testing tools like Selenium Grid, JMeter, Snyk
• Experienced and knowledgeable in software delivery (SDLC) and Agile
• Looking for some experience in Cloud (preferably AWS)
• Can drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve business and customer value
• Business Banking Domain expertise is preferred, but not mandatory
