About the Role
RUC have opportunities for an experienced Charge Up operator to join the Penny team working a 14 Day on and 14 Day off FIFO Roster.
Responsibilities
- Handle and transport explosives material in a safe manner according to procedures
- Charge Up holes, down-holes, and drives
- Charge Up and fire stope blasts according to blast plan
- Ensure working area is safe for personnel and equipment to perform duties
- Liaise with engineers and Shift Supervisors to optimize blast designs
- Stock control of all charging equipment
- Use a variety of explosives and initiating systems, depending on drill pattern, rock type, and hole dimension
- Current C Class Drivers licence
- Working Safely at Heights
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Shotfiring Certificate
- Underground Charge Up experience
