ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for experienced Cooks and Chefs to assist in the operation of our diverse range of high-volume food outlets. This position has prospects for career development and the opportunity to learn and grow within a large team of experienced staff. Successful applicants will have a strong Food focus and lead their team during key service periods. Ensuring we deliver industry best service will be at the forefront at all times. The role requires availability both day and night and weekend work. It is not for the faint hearted but will be a career defining opportunity.This position demands a highly trained professional with a full knowledge of all aspects of kitchen operations. A comfortable ability to interact with diners and be able to work closely with the front of house team is essential. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years as a Chef, inclusive of 1-2 years working in a high-volume diverse range of restaurant and catering options.
WHAT YOU BRING:
You must display a passion for fresh and seasonal produce and have flair and imagination, offering our guests a memorable dining experience.Ideally you will have worked in a similar style venue, with a resume showing a stable work history. Reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will have the opportunity to assist in the operation of multiple kitchens and lead a team to provide the best result possible. This is a hands-on role with the ideal person having the responsibilities of:
• Delivering high quality food and presentation incorporating fresh and local produce
• Encourage a positive learning and supportive team culture with a high degree of professionalism
• Develop and build strong relationships with various stakeholders
• Stock-taking and maintaining food cost control and budgeting
• Proven ability to manage food and wage costs
• Excellent Food Hygiene and Occupational Health & Safety standards
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• A quick-thinking ability to be able to perform numerous tasks in a fast paced environment.
• The ability to take on new ideas and think "outside of the box"WHAT WE OFFER:
