Generally, you will start out on doing day shifts and will be trained on other aspects of working in the kitchen such as: Learning how to handle knives and other equipment Developing knife skills - learning to cut different types of meat, vegetables, etc. Learn on how to control food portions Assist with food preparation alongside other chefs Supporting kitchen staff during service Other general chef duties as required
