Current Opening:
This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week).
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Design and develop innovative, seasonal menus that showcase the best of cuisine.
- Ensure menu items are up-to-date, reflect current trends, and meet customer preferences.
- Create daily specials that align with the restaurant’s concept and seasonal availability.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring cost control and minimizing waste.
- Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Schedule and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Implement and maintain kitchen safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Monitor food costs and adjust pricing and portions as necessary to achieve financial targets.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and manage the kitchen budget.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
- Address any food-related concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Participate in special events and promotions, representing the kitchen team.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to keep the menu exciting and fresh.
- Relevant qualifications.
- 2 years’ kitchen experience within a fast paced environment
- High standard of food preparation and productivity
- Experience in Italian cuisine is highly desirable
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Reliability and punctuality.
- High attention to detail
The role offers a remuneration package is $70,000 to 85,000 p.a. superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
