An incredibly rare and exciting opportunity has opened up for an Head Chef at the award-winning yoga and meditation sanctuary, Billabong Retreat in Sydney’s north-west.
If you are a super star chef who is looking to be surrounded by like-minded creative people and dream about developing your own unique culinary experience for our guests whilst leading a team of like minded cooks and kitchen hands, then this job is for you.
Based on the premise that food is medicine, Billabong Retreat delivers delicious organic vegetarian food, with a menu based on traditional whole food recipes made from locally sourced ingredients.
We are looking for :
- A gem in vegetarian cooking! Someone who is health focused, lives a healthy lifestyle and loves to educate others about the benefits of whole foods and plant based meals.
- A personable and passionate chef who is a natural communicator keen to mingle with guests during meal service whilst leading and empowering their team to be the best they can be.
- Someone who can create their own menus, with the desire to extend their personal brand via cooking classes, media exposure and the compilation of recipe books.
The successful applicant will have proven experience as a chef and experience developing and executing inspirational vegetarian menus. You will have experience managing chefs and kitchen hands, suppliers, ordering stock and be fully accredited with up-to-date health and safety requirements.
Your working week will be made up of approx. 40 hours and will include one weekend day and early evening work. Finish by 7pm.
All yoga, meditation and workshops are included in your package as is relocation accommodation where necessary.
Position available for immediate start. Ideally you live within a 40 minute drive to Maraylya.
