Our client is a privately owned Retirement Living and Aged Care provider with various locations across Queensland.Their mission is to create safe, vibrant, and caring communities, where people can age with independence, comfort, and grace. They are committed to providing the highest quality of service to their residents.
They are currently seeking a professional Chef to work Part-time (3 days a week - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), with the view to go 5 days.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook delicious and nutritious meals for our residents.
- Create weekly menus that are well-balanced, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
- Oversee and manage the kitchen team efficiently.
- Manage kitchen inventory and stock levels.
- Ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and dining services.
- Interact with residents to gather feedback and cater to their needs and preferences.
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in Aged Care or a similar setting
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
