The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
have previous experience in the industry or in a similar role (at least 2 years)
- Demonstrated experience as a chef in a high volume restaurant/pub
- Successfully worked in a team to achieve outcomes
- Assist in design, plan & execute progressive & exciting dishes
- Display outstanding culinary knowledge and passion for food
- Effective management and communication of diverse team
- Maintain high food safety standards and procedures
- Monitor and adhere to OH&S requirements
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Understanding of financial budgets, food and labour costs is advantageous
- Calm and approachable nature
- Full availability, able and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Roles for position include food preparation & cooking, assisting with ordering & stock control/rotation, contribution to chef's specials, maintaining & monitoring OH & S procedures, cleaning and upkeep of kitchen and assistance in menu design.
