Form of workBeachside restaurant located in Brighton Victoria is looking for reliable and motivated Chef De Partie Chef to join our team with a background showing previous culinary experience.
We are a supportive workplace with a dynamic friendly team. We have a well-equipped kitchen that caters for our public restaurant, function rooms and private member’s bar.
As Chef De Partie Chef you will be responsible for Preparation, presentation and display of all menu items in the designated area of the kitchen and for the maintenance of equipment and work area reporting directly to the Head Chef. We encourage you to bring and creativity whilst working with a range of different produce.
The ideal candidate must have experience with al a carte service and functions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years experience in a similar position
- Possess a strong work ethic and have excellent communication skills
- Can produce consistent quality food with a keen attention to detail
- Have a positive and ‘can do’ attitude
- Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
- Flexibility in working a range of shifts being evenings, weekends, public holidays
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment & work well under pressure
- Knowledge of kitchen station including grill, larder, sauce and pastry
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Trade qualified Certificate 3 in cookery/ Hospitality or equivalent
- Menu changed quarterly, be involved in menu creation process.
Must have full Australian work rights.
