Chef De Partie – Hot Section
Vanilla Blue is an award-winning corporate caterer that delivers orders to clients in greater Sydney. We are looking for a Chef De Partie to join our hotproduction afternoon team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will oversee a small team of catering attendants who form our hot food division. This role would be ideal for someone who wishes to step up into a senior kitchen role.
Job Details
- $74K per year plus Super
- 38-40 hours per week
- 10am - 6:30pm Tuesday to Saturday. Sunday and Monday off
- Artarmon Location. Train station within 10 minutes, short walk from the bus, limited on-street parking
- Public holidays off or time in lieu given.
- Staff meals and beverages provided with each shift
- Uniform shirt/jacket and apron provided.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Direct and oversee a small team of catering attendants
- Bring an energetic and enthusiastic approach to catering and bulk production
- Make a variety of food from our hot food menu with great presentation and consistency
- Basic cleaning and tidying up after yourself
- Ability to work autonomously and direct your team under the guidance of the Sous Chef
- Great eye for detail and quality control with a flair for presentation
- Be punctual, reliable and a great communicator
- Attention to food hygiene and work safety.
To be successful you must have:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
- A passion for food
- Ability to develop and mentor your team
- Be able to lead and motivate your team to keep moving at a fast pace
- Catering or hotel experience desirable
- Team player
- Great communication skills
- Working rights in Australia
