Yoko Dining is a Japanese restaurant inspired by our love of fun, high-energy Tokyo Izakaya's. Split over two levels, the ground floor’s energetic atmosphere is enhanced by kitchen views and a deck that overlooks Brisbane River and the city skyline. Upstairs, our vinyl bar is a hidden spot for late-night vibes, fun events and good times.
Our modern approach to Japanese food is complemented by a smashable cocktail list and Japanese beverages. Situated in the heart of Howard Smith Wharves, a destination dining precinct, we aim to create a place for guests and travellers alike to be transported and recharge amongst the energy of buzz of our restaurant. Importantly, Yoko is a place for people to return to time and time again.

We are looking for an CDP or Junior Sous with japanese cuisine experience - sushi or sashimi
The Role
Working with our Head Chef, you’ll be an integral part of ensuring Yoko Dining's reputation is upheld. As an established operator, Yoko Dining is renowned for delivering exceptional Japanese cuisine in the heart of Brisbane for the past 4 years. As the Junior Sous or CDP you’ll be pivotal in building upon this success.
About You
- Is passionate about cooking, good food, quality ingredients and running kitchens
- Is outgoing and flexible
- Possesses a high level of attention to detail
- Has a proven track record of managing the team in a calm, positive and constructive manner
- Proven experience as a CDP/Sous Chef with asian cuisine
- Is organised, responsible and hands-on in the kitchen
