The Wood Restaurant has been named Best Restaurant in a Winery for Regional NSW at the 2023 Restaurant & Catering Association Hostplus Awards for Excellence! Open for lunch Friday-Tuesday, and for dinner Fridays and Saturdays. We are seeking a Chef De Partie to join our kitchen team.

About You
You love food! You have a genuine desire to deliver outstanding culinary experiences to our customers.
As our Chef De Partie you are confident you will excel in the following responsibilities -
- Undertake and supervise daily food preparation in anticipation and response of service requirements.
- Prepare ingredients, recipes, and menu items according to established standards and recipes.
- Carrying out quality checks on food supplies to ensure quality and freshness.
- Work closely with other members of the kitchen team, to ensure smooth operations during service period
- Assisting with training and supervision for the kitchen team, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with front of house staff.
- Cleaning of kitchen equipment, food preparation areas and storage areas, complying with the highest standards of cleanliness.
What we need from you
- Advanced food knowledge
- Trade Certification in Commercial Cookery
- Food Safety Supervisor Certification
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen as a Chef De Partie
- A great work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A positive and professional demeanor
- A love of wine and food with a genuine interest in increasing your knowledge
