Your expertise will play a key role in maintaining the impeccable standards of our establishment and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our patrons.
Current Opening:
This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week).
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Assist in the supervision and coordination of kitchen’s operations, including instructing cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food;
- Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour and overhead costs;
- Develop recipes and determine how to present the food to the customers and create decorative food displays;
- Give practical exhibition of different techniques of cooking various dishes;
- Collaborate in the estimation of amounts and costs of required suppliers, such as food an ingredients;
- Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality;
- Keep up with the industry trends and create new recipes in collaboration with the Head Chef;
- Approve and polish dishes before they reach to the customer;
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages;
- Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed;
- Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen
- Taking care of kitchen’s accounts and creating a work roster;
- To ensure that kitchen maintenance problems are promptly addressed;
- Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards.
- At least a Diploma or relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
- High standard of food preparation and productivity.
- Excellent time management abilities.
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
