Rosewood Care Group is currently looking for an experienced full-time Chef Manager to join our team at our Leederville facility. We are looking for a customer focused, positive, friendly and efficient team member, who believes in innovation and looks beyond just preparing meals. Rosewood is a not-for-profit organisation, with salary packaging available to the successful candidate.
Reporting through to the Catering Services Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to supervise the daily catering requirements, managing the team, menu planning and daily meal production. Key responsibilities of this exciting opportunity include:
Menu Planning and Daily Production
- Assist the Catering Services Manager in delivering quality meals that offer our residents a variety of choice.
- Implement and execute food theme days and resident meal choice days.
- Ensure appearance of texture-modified meals are appetising and visually appealing.
Administration
- Ensure compliance with initiatives to reduce/maintain menu cost and food wastage.
- Prepare catering expense sheet for monthly review.
Food Safety
- Comply with the Rosewood Food Safety Program.
- Ensure food monitoring records are completed accurately and that non-conformances are addressed.
- Understand and comply with responsibilities relating to food safety, health, and hygiene.
Staff Management
- Motivate, educate and lead the Leederville catering team.
- Roster Management
- Address performance management/disciplinary issues in conjunction with the Catering Manager.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals.
Customer Service Relationship Management
- Maintain professional working relationships.
- Participate in resident food forums.
- Regularly liaise with residents during mealtime.
Quality Management System
- Adhere to the company's Quality Policies and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Develop a continuous improvement process.
Workplace Health and Safety
- Ensure health, safety, and welfare of self and others.
- Complete daily tasks and operate equipment as per safe work procedures.
- Follow safe work procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment correctly.
