About the Role
We are seeking a Chef/Front House Supervisor , for a Permanent opportunity in The Collaroy Centre, NSW
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the seamless operation of our kitchen and dining services. You will collaborate with the Sous Chef in performing all cooking activities, including to assist in menu preparation and maintain quality control. Additionally, you will oversee Front of House service as required, including the supervision of staff and the accommodation of special dietary needs, to ensure an exceptional dining experience that exceeds customer expectations.
Hours of work Tuesday to Friday 7am - 3pm, Saturday 12pm - 8pm.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be successful in this role if you can:
- Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with NSW Food Safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and food orders.
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Adhere to and enforce policies, procedures, and relevant legislation within all areas of food preparations.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and work areas, following health and safety guidelines.
- Plan and prepare special diet meals, ensuring strict adherence to the Allergen Matrix.
- Supervise Front of House service operations as required, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate IV, Commercial Cookery trade qualification
- 3 years previous cook/chef experience
- Previous experience in front of house (preferable but not mandatory)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Team player
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
- Thrives in fast-paced environment.
Requirements of the Role:
- A national police record check and Working with Children's check is required.
