The Townsville RSL Group are looking for Chefs/ CDP & Commis to join the Kitchen team and have the opportunity to work at either Townsville RSL or Thuringowa Rsl to be mentored by Executive Chef, Rodney has a wealth of experience working across Australia and various cuisines in 5 Star hotels to exclusive club environments.
Qualifications & experience
- Qualified chef/cook
- Experience in fast paced environments
- A la'carte experience
- History of high standards and attention to detail
- Reliable, presentable, punctual and most of all a team player
- Willingness to progress and drive change within the organisation
- Versatile in all areas including fryer, grill and plate up
- Have input into daily specials
- Working with apprentices and training
Tasks & responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high quality food according to menu guidelines
- Help to create good communication between floor and kitchen staff
- Assist with training of apprentices
- Follow correct hygienic handling practices
- Use safe work practices
- Drive and passion to grow within the venue
- Work as a team player and enjoy like minded team members
