The RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals according to the menu for guests residing at the resort. You will work closely with front of house staff to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of daily services. This position involves collaborating within a team to consistently provide high-quality meals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Food preparation and cooking to order during service, groups and outdoor dining
- Preparation and cooking of all dishes
- Experience on pans, grills and fryers
- Checking quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
- Work effectively within a team environment
- Assist in stock control and monitoring wastage
- Follow a high standard of food safety and hygiene practices
- Supplier liaison
- Ensuring safe work practices with focus on workplace health and safety
What we look for- Previous experience and cooking in a similar environment as a Chef
- Commercial cooking Cert 3 (essential)
- Proven experience in electronic purchase ordering and cost management
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work within a team and autonomously
- Ability to prep and organise ahead
- HACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygiene
- Current Drivers Licence.
