Harrigan's Drift Inn, constructed as part of the master-planned marina and luxury waterfront residential development Calypso Bay, Queensland, is the Gold Coast's only waterfront tavern designed specifically to attract boaties enjoying the waterways between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. The pub features a 30-metre visitors’ pontoon right on the main channel linking Jumpinpin with the waters of southern Moreton Bay.
Harrigan’s Drift Inn is looking for Chefs and Cooks to join our enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated kitchen team on a fulltime and casual basis. Harrigan’s attracts a large number of local, state-wide, national and international visitors, so it is imperative that applicants for this role enjoy working in a busy, team orientated kitchen environment providing high quality meals to all customers.
The key responsibilities for these roles will include:
- Producing high quality plates both in design and taste
- Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets quality standards
- Complying and monitoring sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers
The successful candidates will have:
- Experience in previous Chef/Cook roles
- An understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in handling situations and providing solutions
- Knowledge in industry best practice
All applicants for these roles must be available to work a roster which includes weekends and lunch/dinner split shifts.
