Bodega Underground is seeking an experienced Chef to join our Mexican restaurant located on Little Bourke Street in Melbourne CBD.
We aim to create memorable dining experiences through our moody venue, and forward thinking offering of Mexican food and beverage. For this we need an energetic and passionate Chef to join our creative culinary team. This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your professional culinary career in a fun and supportive environment.
Position Requirements:
- Work alongside and take direction from the Head chef
- Assist in all aspects of food preparation
- Be ready to contribute creative ideas
- Keep up in a fast paced, fun filled establishment
- Maintain high quality in a busy service
- Ensure a positive relationship is maintained between back of house and front of house
- Understand the importance of food safety
You will possess:
- The ability to curate memorable experiences for our guests through the quality of your food
- Minimum 1-2-years experience in a busy kitchen with proficient knife skills
- Professional verbal communication skills and strong eye for detail
- Impeccable hygiene, grooming and presentation
- Strong work ethic and flexibility to work over 7 days a week rotating roster
