Chemist Job

Mission Details
-Carrying out duties as directed by the Senior Chemist and Technology Director
-Ensure all laboratory tasks are conducted in a safe manner
-Perform analysis on new, potential, existing and competitor products
-Assist in developing of formulations for new products
-Carry ongoing review of new and alternate raw materials and production processes.
-Establishes production and quality control process for new products.
-Issuance and update of relevant technical literatures such as technical data sheets, technical training, MSDS, etc. Ensure all information is accurate.
-Preparation and distribution of any written reports associated with work carried out.
-Assist in the quality control process ensuring prompt and efficient testing program. Identify areas for improvement and implement action plan.
-Provide technical support to customers, sales staff and marketing.
-Analyze QC data, identifying and reviewing trends in results, and conduct further investigation for improvement.
-Monitor and action maintenance of equipment and laboratory consumables.
-Update test methods, quality criteria and manufacturing instructions
-Maintain high level of safety and housekeeping. Keep work area in a clean, tidy and in safe condition, ensure equipment is maintained in safe and efficient working order, and work in a safety conscious manner
-Ensure that activities and the provision of information related to the function comply with relevant Acts, legislative requirements, ethical standards and all Bostik policies, particularly in relation to health, safety and the environment
Required Profile
-Degree/ Diploma in Science/Chemistry/Engineering with 0-5 years laboratory experience
-Demonstrated people, verbal and written communication skills
-Proven numerical and computational skills
-Advance PC Skills – Email, Internet, and MS Office
-Ability to formulate in a designated technology area                       
-Able to meet deadlines and organize work priorities
-Time management skills, and an ability to handle multiple priorities
-Demonstrated analytical skills
-Exhibit a high attention to detail,
-Ability to carry out projects with minimal supervision.
