The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) are the caretakers of Perth’s cemeteries, entrusted to commemorate the lives of Western Australians now and into the future. We respectfully help family and friends honour the lives of loved ones and safeguard memories for future generations.
We have one permanent full-time position available for an experienced Chief Audit Executive and Risk Officer at Karrakatta Cemetery.
About you

  • You have substantial experience in managing internal audit programs and Risk management frameworks.
  • You manage a small team and will work collaboratively with other divisions in the MCB to maintain and develop existing and future risk management plans and strategies.
  • You are motivated to lead this function in a small team.

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate person who is passionate about risk management and audit to provide a seamless and high-quality service to customers in our beautiful cemeteries.
The Chief Audit Executive and Risk Officer will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing the comprehensive risk management framework, policies, procedures and plans in place for the MCB, including compliance with work, health and safety risk and obligations.
  • Preparing and presenting written reports and formal documents for a range of audiences.
  • Examining complex information, conduct policy and/or data analysis, and provide insights or advice to senior management.
  • Managing internal audit programs.
