The Shire of Bruce Rock is a thriving agricultural Wheatbelt Shire with a population of approximately 980 people. The Shire’s diverse community lives and breathes its motto, “Where Friends Become Family” and is proud of its low unemployment rate and high volunteerism. The Council is well-functioning and proactive, and boasts a good standard of health services, education services and recreation facilities. After 14 years of dedicated service at the Shire, the current CEO has resigned, creating an opening for a visionary Executive to join the team and ensure Bruce Rock continues to strive for excellence and achieve positive outcomes for the community.
THE ROLE
Reporting to Elected Members, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the team in the strategic delivery of the Strategic Community and Corporate Business Plans whilst ensuring careful management of the Shire’s physical, financial and human resources. The successful candidate will continue to build stakeholder relationships to strengthen regional collaboration and economic development, in addition to delivering critical projects such as the Main Street Revitalisation Strategy.
REQUIREMENTS
A creative and community-minded leader with a passion for regional Australia is being sought for this great role. An innovative thinker with an energetic and empathetic approach, coupled with Executive leadership experience in a multi-disciplinary, regulatory environment will be the ideal skillset to lead the Shire. Adept financial, governance and stakeholder management expertise will also be essential for success.
THE PACKAGE
A three-year contract is on offer and a Total Reward Package in accordance with this SAT Band 4 role is $156,780 - $240,396, plus a vehicle and modern, spacious Shire accommodation.
