Packer & Co commenced investing funds on behalf of clients in 1993. Since 1996 we have managed a single investment vehicle, the Packer & Co Investigator Trust, a $2 billion unit trust which invests in equities globally. We are counter-cyclical, buying assets when they are out of favour.
We believe in aligning ourselves with our clients and our four Investment Managers have the majority of their personal wealth invested in the Investigator Trust.
Responsibilities
We are looking to add an Investment Analyst or Manager to our four-person team based in Cottesloe. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing rigorous, bottom-up research on listed companies and industries.
- Speaking to and/or meeting with senior management teams of the companies under research.
- Recommending companies for addition/removal from the portfolio and debating these recommendations with the rest of the team.
- Monitoring and analysing existing portfolio positions.
- Liasing with clients of the fund.
- Fund administration activities.
Requirements
- Track record of strong academic achievement.
- At least 5 years’ professional work experience.
- Demonstrated interest in investing.
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment.
