Role Overview
As the CEO of Jacana Energy, you will ensure the company creates and maintains business value while delivering a reliable and cost-effective electricity supply. You will have the authority to take reasonable actions to achieve these objectives, consistent with delegations from the Board. Key success indicators include customer and shareholder satisfaction, sustainable financial performance, and operational effectiveness. You will position Jacana Energy as a preferred provider and a community-oriented organisation.

You’ll make an impact by delivering on some core responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Lead with honesty and integrity, promoting the retailer's success for all stakeholders.

- Provide regular updates to the Board and shareholders on business performance and significant matters.
- Drive cultural change to achieve organisational objectives.
- Build leadership capability and ensure succession planning to support current and future objectives.
Governance, Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Ensure effective discharge of governance duties related to the Board and Board Committees.
- Develop strategies to fulfill obligations, recognising the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged customers.
- Ensure compliance and risk management across all legal, regulatory, statutory, governance, and contractual obligations.
- Act as the key spokesperson, managing public, shareholder, and external relationships.
- Comply with the NTPS and Jacana Energy’s Code of Conduct and other relevant guidelines.
Operational Efficiency and Market Adaptation:
- Meet customer and market demands, continuously improving operational efficiencies.
- Develop corporate and marketing strategies with the Board, Shareholders, and Executive Leadership Team.
- Stay informed about market conditions, regulatory changes, and government policies.

What you will bring to the team:

- Understanding of retail and wholesale energy markets and the ability to operate strategically.
