ACAud is a Practitioner Professional Body (PPB) member organisation representing Audiometrist and Audiologist members across Australia as a leading sector voice for excellence in clinical hearing care. ACAud is entering a new period of growth and change, and we are seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation to deliver on our exciting vision. This critical role offers an experienced executive the unique opportunity to shape the direction of hearing health care nationally and facilitate better hearing health for all Australians.

Key Responsibilities
- Guide the organisation to achieve its strategic goals, while upholding its values and mission.
- Provide strong advocacy, influencing policy to advance the profession and improve patient care standards.
- Foster strong relationships with government bodies, sector stakeholders, and international counterparts.
- Drive local and international membership growth and engagement ensuring a vibrant member community.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, funding and resource allocation to ensure sustainability and growth.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement in professional standards, education, and research within the sector.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven leadership experience at a senior management level, preferably within a professional member organisation, health care or related field.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape in Australia with a preference for knowledge in audiology.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of the organisation, its members, and their clients.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and implementing successful growth strategies.
- Strong history of successful budget management and resource allocation.
- Experience reporting to a Board of Directors, with a deep understanding of corporate governance and compliance activity.
- A commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and inclusivity.
Our office is based in Brisbane, Australia. We have flexible work arrangements, and remote work options could be available for the successful candidate. The role is supported by 4 part-time staff and 7 sub-committees.
