The Position
Maryvale Private Hospital (MPH) has cared for more than 60,000 patients since its inception and provides comprehensive surgical services, acute medical care and outpatient consulting services. Beautifully positioned on 17 hectares, adjacent to the Crinigan Bushland Reserve and on the lands of the traditional owners, the Gunaikurnai nation, Maryvale Private is committed to the provision of exceptional private health care for the community.
The Board of MPH seeks to appoint an engaging and inspiring CEO to lead the delivery of the current strategic plan, including the growth and sustainability of the health service. The CEO will lead the growth agenda and develop strategies to ensure a planned approach to business development, stakeholder engagement and attraction of VMOs and medical staff to the health service, supporting the current and future health needs of the community and financial sustainability of the Hospital. The CEO will also be tasked with the identification of opportunities to increase efficiencies and support the review and development of the current clinical services plan.
The incumbent will be a dynamic and visible leader who builds strong partnerships and relationships both internally and externally across the stakeholder landscape. With a strong strategic and operational lens, the CEO will have experience managing financial growth and risk, whilst ensuring excellence in care. A proven executive leader, the CEO will contribute to knowledge and capability building and continue to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of professional growth, collaboration, consumer centricity and ethical practice. Relevant qualifications in healthcare administration, business administration will be essential, with previous clinical experience highly desirable.

Maryvale Private Hospital, located in Gippsland in Victoria, is a newly redeveloped 65 bed private acute medical and surgical hospital that is known for its personalised care, friendly atmosphere and highly skilled staff. The hospital services the Gippsland municipalities of East Gippsland, Wellington, Latrobe, Baw Baw, South Gippsland and Bass Coast, as well as Melbourne metropolitan areas.
Not-for-profit private health insurer Latrobe Health Services, owner and operator of Maryvale Private, established the hospital in 1991 to provide for the health care needs of the Gippsland community.
