This high profile and extremely successful Australian retailer has a dominant market share (400+ stores) and a reputation that is the envy of their competitors. Long established, they have a rich and sustained history of growth, profitability and providing the highest quality products to the market whilst also maintaining an employee focussed culture.
A rare and exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented, hands on and commercially minded CFO to join the team. Reporting to a dynamic and enterprising Group CEO, you will provide leadership of the entire finance function and have a diverse array of responsibilities including:
- Oversee all financial activities including financial and management reporting
- Board reporting and presentations
- Cash flow management and banking relationships
- Business performance analysis and contribute to the development of business strategy
- Tax returns and all taxation matters
- Inventory management
- Annual budgeting and long term strategic planning
- Leases - proposals, negotiations, accounting for
- Assist with managing key relationships - solicitors, banks, insurers etc
- Ad hoc process improvements and recommendations
To be considered for this high impact leadership role, you will be CA/CPA qualified and have a proven track record of operating at the CFO level within a retail/consumer/inventory environment. You will also be a strong leader with the ability to nurture and harness the team whilst also effectively managing relationships at the executive level. You must be comfortable with being across the detail but equally adept working at a strategic level.
