This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the success of an organisation dedicated to supporting individuals with autism. The Chief Financial Officer provides strategic leadership of Autism Queensland’s Finance, Technology and Human Resources teams to ensure AQs financial sustainability and effective people and technology services and solutions to fulfil the organisation’s Mission. Responsibilities include:
- Effective execution of financial, risk management and business development strategies.
- Development and execution of the corporate services strategic plans.
- Compliance with federal and state government and industry standards, regulations and reporting requirements.
- Provision of financial advice, analysis and comprehensive reporting to the Board of Directors and CEO.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Finance, Human Resources, and Technology teams delivering clear direction, effective performance management and active support to direct reports.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation, reporting to the AQ board as required and contributing as a collegial member of the Executive Leadership Team.
You will be CA/CPA qualified with proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably with a combination of commercial and for-purpose sectors. You will possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will be a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving organisational performance and sustainability.
