With robust financial backing, they are funded by significant investment to facilitate expansion and operational enhancements; the acquisition opening doors to global markets, leveraging international networks and expertise to propel their presence beyond Australia. Eurocold are now seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer in a newly created role to help maximise the operational synergies between the two entities, ensuring improved efficiency and service delivery to benefit clients and stakeholders alike. This opportunity represents a unique chance to spearhead financial strategies that will support the company's rapid expansion and strategic initiatives, driving financial excellence, growth and positive change.
The Role
As part of the Executive team and reporting to the Managing Director, the Chief Financial Officer will assume a pivotal leadership position within a dynamic and rapidly expanding organisation. You will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of the company's financial strategy, performance, and setting up rigorous financial frameworks. Your role scope will also extend to and include IT and HR which are currently outsourced. Your responsibilities will span a broad spectrum, from financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to financial reporting, risk management, and compliance. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives, including investment decisions, capital allocation, and mergers and acquisitions as they embark on a journey of significant growth and expansion. Duties will include, but not be limited to:-
- Prepare monthly management accounts with comprehensive variance analysis and commentary.
- Manage the month-end close process and oversee income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Accurate and timely financial and statutory reporting
- Managing audit
- Partner with internal stakeholders to prepare the annual budget and maintain rolling reforecasts. Additionally, prepare regular cash flow forecasts.
- Provide insightful P&L analysis to support operational decision-making.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenses.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and tax laws to ensure the organisation's adherence to relevant rules and regulations. Embed governance practices.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support for professional growth and development.
- Continuously improve financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.

You are a seasoned finance leader with a track record of success in driving financial excellence and strategic growth within dynamic and rapidly evolving environments. You are a tactical thinker with excellent analytical skills and demonstrate a keen ability to translate financial data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and support company growth objectives.
Moreover you will be a collaborative and influential leader, capable of building and leading high-performing finance teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and build strong relationships externally are essential, as is a proactive and results-oriented mindset, coupled with a passion for innovation and sustainability.
You are in an executive team of 4 and expected to be a driving force within that team. This is not a company or a role that you will feel like you are in the passenger seat. Your voice will be heard, you have seat at the table and will be an agent of significant influence within the business.
Skills & Experience
- CA/CPA
- Executive leadership team experience
- Understanding of a leasing asset rental business
- Reporting to an international shareholder experience would be advantageous
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Strong communication skills and an ability to forge strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
