About Us

Adventist HealthCare owns and operates San Day Surgery Hornsby and the Sydney Adventist Hospital which is fondly known as the San. With a dedicated team of 2400+ employees, 1200+ Accredited Medical Officers and 300 Volunteers we are NSW’s largest and most comprehensive private hospital providing acute surgical, medical, and obstetric care.  Founded in 1903 we are a faith-based not-for-profit healthcare organisation with a history of ground-breaking research, cutting-edge technology and facilities and an unwavering commitment to providing superior patient care.

With over 500 overnight beds the San cares for more than 60,000 inpatients and 118,000 outpatients each year with around 20,000 patients presenting to our emergency department. Our on-campus Radiology service delivers over 90,000 medical imaging investigations annually and we value the strategic partnership we have with ANU for medical education and research.

The hospital has embarked on a strong strategy refresh to ensure that we are ‘Future Ready’ and well placed to ensure financial success and this executive role will play a critical role in helping to achieve this.
