We are seeking an experienced Part time Support Coordinator to join our small but growing team. Based out of our East Maitland office the role will be servicing the needs of the Hunter/Central Coast regions.
We are looking for a person who would like to be involved in shaping the future of their company, engaged in the development of supports on offer, and who are proud to have their ideas included in our day to day supports and operational planning.
The Current Role
Our Support Coordinators are focused on strengthening a participants ability to navigate the NDIS and to empower participants to access supports to enable each person to participate more fully in their community of choice.
The role is responsible for coordinating the day to day aspects of NDIS service navigation. You will engage with clients, undertake plan coordination services, identify and inform clients of services and service providers available for purchase within their approved funding and in line with their stated goals and desired outcomes; maximising opportunity and independence. You will support the participant to evaluate goals and provide outcome reports to the NDIS. .
As part of the role, you will build local knowledge of existing services, service pathways and networks of services and supports.
This important role is also responsible for ensuring all reporting and administrative requirements are met, and services are delivered in line with the National Quality and Safeguards Commission Code of Conduct.

To be considered for the position, you will posses:
- Relevant experience working within the Community, Human Services, Disability or allied-health area(s).
- Minimum of a Cert IV in a Community Services related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience
- A demonstrated commitment to a strengths-based approach in the achievement of a persons goals
- An in-depth knowledge of the disability sector
- A keen understanding of the NDIS key principles
- Highly-developed communication interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
- Confident computer, administration and reporting abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high demand work environment and to exercise judgement and initiative
- Independence and proactive learning style and sound problem-solving skills
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- A current driver's licence
- A NDIS Worker Screening Clearance - NDISWC
- A current WWCC
- NDIS Code of Conduct training Certificate
