SANE is the leading national mental health organisation for people with persistent, recurring or complex mental health issues and trauma.
We provide a range of free digital and telehealth services to support them and their families. Led by the voices of its community, SANE drives change to improve the lives of those living with complex mental health issues and to end stigma and discrimination. We are 120 people with 60 volunteers, we are purpose driven, values aligned, passionate and engaged.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver on SANE’s innovation and commitment to providing digital and telehealth mental health support and community, through the ongoing development, improvement and delivery of best-in-class digital systems, secure platforms, software and data applications.
The CTO serves as a strategic leader for digital services and product owners, technology infrastructure and security and oversees the development, implementation, and management of all technological aspects within SANE. The CTO’s responsibilities include leading SANE’s technological vision, strategies, and execution.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Supporting members of the technology team in prioritisation, time management and provide guidance, mentorship, and resources to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Managing organisational wide system upgrades, changes and new installations.
Evaluating and adopting suitable technologies that streamline operations and enhance performance.
Ensuring robust cybersecurity are in place across SANE’s technology services and systems.
Leading risk management to protect sensitive data and systems.
Managing suppliers and fostering strategic partnerships with technology vendors, and industry leaders, to support SANE to use resources efficiently.
Creating and managing technology budgets, allocating resources optimally to support various initiatives while maintaining financial discipline.
Develop and deliver high quality performance and operational reporting including preparing reports for the Board of Directors.
Collaborating across the Leadership Team to understand business needs and ensure technology solutions align with those needs.
Positively contributing to SANE’s culture, acting a catalyst for culture change.
About You:
Experience
A professional who thrives in working in a fast-paced environment.
Information Technology or relevant Tertiary Qualifications.
10+ years in digital services and technology.
Demonstrated experience in large/multi-year project and budget management.
Enterprise software experience including Salesforce, Microsoft Office and project systems such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience with online forums including the Khoros product would be an advantage.
Desirable
Previous experience in the not for profit sector and/or,
Previous experience in healthcare.
