Position Overview:
This is a new role. As a key member of Trellis’ executive leadership team, the CTO will drive our technology and innovation strategy. You will lead a talented team of Developers, AI and Machine Learning Specialists and Designers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and spearhead the development of groundbreaking AI products and solutions that deliver value to our clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification of emerging technologies and trends to maintain our competitive edge and drive innovation.
- Oversee the research, design, development, and deployment of AI products and solutions. Ensure alignment with customer needs, market demands, and business objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to internal teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Mentor and develop technical talent to drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
- Drive operational efficiency and optimise resource utilisation to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances with technology vendors, research institutions, and industry stakeholders. Enhance our technological capabilities and drive innovation through collaboration.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred but not essential)
- Proven experience in Leader of Leader roles, with a track record of success in driving technology innovation and business growth.
- Deep expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related technologies, with a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Business acumen, with experience in managing budgets, forecasting resource needs, and delivering results in high-growth environments.
