Address Established, mid-sized and Australian owned retail company is looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of CTO / Head of Technology.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing technology landscapes within the retail sector and will possess the ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this position offers the opportunity to lead and innovate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire technology landscape for the organisation, including IT operations, website management, systems, data, integration and cybersecurity.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships, including selection, negotiation of agreements, and oversight of service level agreements.
- Drive change management initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the technology team.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations on technology-related matters.
- Remain hands-on support in the areas of incident management and troubleshooting of technical issues and implementing solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, particularly in areas such as data security and privacy.
- Extensive experience managing technology landscapes in a similar or comparable environment, preferably within the retail sector.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including point-of-sale systems, inventory management, and e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and innovation while maintaining a service-oriented approach.
- Technical proficiency in relevant technologies, such as BigCommerce, Shopify, CRM, Klaviyo/ Mailchimp and ERP and POS systems.
- Experience of data systems such as Snowflake data warehouse, PowerBI
- High level of emotional intelligence and adaptability, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving results.
