This advice covers finance, audit, treasury, investor relations, security and property.Technology Finance is a specialist team that is responsible for the provision of financial control and management services to the Technology Division of CBA. The provide strategic advice, commercial and financial analysis to ensure optimal strategic decision making and operational excellence.We work closely with our stakeholders to help them understand their technology and operations costs and deliver current and future strategic and financial plans.Technology Finance’s mission is to “influence strategic outcomes through transparent insights and passionate people”.See yourself in our teamYour team forms part of the wider Technology Finance Team of approximately 90 people and provides business partnering and financial management services to Technology and Business Unit CIOs.Your role is to support the Chief Security Officer, Executive Leadership Team and the Board in making efficient and confident decisions on the bank’s investment in its security posture and inform them on the effectiveness and efficiency of said investments.Some of the key areas you will be providing support and leadership across include:
- Developing forecasts and analysis of the internal investments and BAU spend for senior management and project stakeholders.
- Long range planning and budgeting on the group’s strategic security investments as well as traditional BAU spend.
- Working with senior commercial analysts to ensure completeness and accuracy of the month end process.
- Monthly investment spend forecasts and insights for senior management
- Reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of the investment spend and resources
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting including workforce and license spend as well as preparation of Annual Operating Plans and Quarterly Business Review memos
- Adhoc analysis of the project delivery workforce and allocation of funding with focus on optimisation including process improvement / automation of processes to streamline work
- To provide independent review of strategic security investments and transactions and advice to the Technology CFO and Chief Security Officer
- Engage with people across various parts of the Group; stakeholder management and communication skills are paramount in this role
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis
- Attention to detail and quality together with a working understanding of financial accounting
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis, as well Thinkcell skills preferable but not necessary
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Innovative and able to drive results
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills
- Tertiary Qualifications – hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or an equivalent business-related discipline and an accounting qualification – CPA or CA
