The Individual Support Services (ISS) program works in partnership with Child Safety to provide holistic trauma-informed support to children in the child protection system and children who have experienced significant levels of toxic stress, trauma, and adverse childhood experiences. About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Child and Family Practitionerto deliver an outreach model of therapeutic case coordination to support children and their ecological networks to achieve better outcomes.
- Full time permanent opportunity.
- Level 5 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $93,860 – $98,112 plus super.

Key responsibilities:
- Use a trauma-informed model to support children and their ecological networks to achieve better outcomes.
- Support thorough psycho-social assessments and implementing tailored evidence-informed interventions.
- Provide psychoeducation practical assistance to the child, family, and carers.

About You
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Allied Health, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services).
- Professional registration (as required) and membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
- At least three (3) years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect, or more than five (5) years in similar roles.
- Experience with and understanding of current child protection systems, legislation, and policy reforms.
- Understanding of child development, family functioning, parenting capacity and cumulative harm.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical exemption.
