About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Family Support Practitioner to deliver an outreach model of family case-management programs to families, caregivers, kids and young people.
- Full time opportunity.
- Level 4 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $82,046 - $88,288 plus super.
- Role is government funded until 31 December 2027 with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a regular case load of client families.
- Engage families, obtain consent, and develop case plans in conjunction families which address unmet needs and child protection concerns.
- Work with other professionals and agencies utilising an ecological model.

About You
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, psychology, social work, human services).
- Professional registration (if required) and membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
- At least 2 years’ experience providing case-management and therapeutic services to families, caregivers, young people, and children in a child protection framework.
- Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical exemption.
