Holy Name Early Learning and Care is a 112-place service. We cater to 60 children within the ELC and 52 OSCH/Vacation care children.

We are seeking a centre cook to join our team and play a vital role in providing wholesome meals to our young learners. As a valued member, you will contribute to creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive and grow.
Responsibilities
- Plan menus that meet the nutritional needs of children, taking into account any dietary restrictions or allergies.
- Prepare and cook meals and snacks in accordance with recommended dietary guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including proper storage of food and cleaning of equipment and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure sufficient stock of ingredients.
- Collaborate with service educators to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of individual children.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.
Qualifications
- Holds a food supervisor certificate or willing to obtain one
- Previous experience working as a cook in a childcare setting or similar environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
- A genuine passion for cooking and a commitment to providing nutritious and delicious meals for children.
- Current WWC
- Knowledge of nutrition guidelines for children and experience with menu planning.
