Wominjeka! Robyn Jane Children’s Centre is a 70 place not-for-profit centre located in Healesville, the heart of the Yarra Valley. We have been nurturing children’s love of learning through play and experience for over 30 years and have built an excellent reputation within the local community by creating an engaging, safe and quality educational environment for children, and being a great place to workm. The Opportunity
Robyn Jane Children’s Centre has a rare opportunity for an engaging and committed Centre Director to join our wonderful team. Working with the Assistant Director and team leaders, you will be responsible for the day-to day management of the Centre and leadership of our team of dedicated childcare professionals by:
- Collaborating with Educators and TL for our renowned child-led service.
- Building relationships with families, ensuring regular communication
- Driving team engagement through positive leadership and coaching
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring new team members as needed.
- Guiding self-assessment and Quality Improvement Plans.
- Assisting with financial management, including CCMS administration and legislative compliance.
- Attending monthly meetings with the Committee of Management
About You
- Qualified Early Childhood Education professional with leadership experience in large centers (While a Bachelor of Education is preferred, it is not mandatory.)
- Passionate about creating engaging learning environments through play-based education
- Strong understanding of childhood development and commitment to continuous improvement
- Skilled in building trusting relationships with educators and providing practical coaching
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong focus on mentorship and supporting team members in achieving their professional goals
- Are committed to responsive programming reflecting diverse community needs
- Have a passionate emphasis on community engagement and collaboration
